if its not worthwhile for the photographers, they won't post them to Getty. some compensation will need to exist. have. it read into how this works, though.

Once again a stock agency devalues the work of creatives, supporting the idiotic Millennial notion "It isn't stealing if it's on the Internet."

Getty can go to hell.

They would have to implement some form of micro royalties for the embedded images. Maybe based on page views? There has to be some method to encourage their contributors to stay with them. They aren't that stupid (I think).

All i can say is, many contributors are mad as hell. Like i said over there.

'I know how graphic artist operate. They and many ad agencies shop at Getty because they know the images are pricey and thus not common. After talking to a G-artist today. Her instant take on it was Getty's images are now like bargain images. And she would probably prefer to get a premium image for a client from somewhere not like a 'micro-stock' agency. Yes! She referred to Getty as a microstock agency. I think this may have been a huge mistake. But what do i know? I wasn't even asked an opinion -_-'

it really looks like their initial entry into the embed licensing model is somewhat of a belly flop. check out this overview and comparison.
