The results of the 'The Smile II' challenge have been recalculated, due to the disqualification of the former 3rd place image for failing to provide a valid original within the required timeframe. Congrats to our new ribbon winner!

It does happen to the new comers who do not read the rules thoroughly especially the time frame. It's tempting if you have a nice portfolio, (and the disqualified entry was a good picture) to pick something that you have already shot and submit.
I'm smiling anyway :)

Indeed. Which always amazes me, since in order to submit we have to check that box, and *if* we read the text associated with it, we are agreeing to provide an original if requested, within 48 hours.

Someday they will come to collect on all the fine print that said something about lifetime servitude, first born child, etc.
Fortunately those were the ones from the government and they'll be shut down for awhile. ;-) |

Luckily I've been very careful with my images. Checking time/date stamp; keeping originals; using proper programming to transfer to computer; etc.
Though, that would be my luck... My first ribbon would end up DQd

This is why I work so hard to avoid ribbons... Just a set up for heartbreak... |

I'm better at it than you both... 2002 - 2013 a spotless record....
Well, there was a 7th place in December 2002, and another in January 2003, but I soon overcame the danger and have not flirted with danger since.
