I updated the Iphone to iOS7 and am enjoying the new camera features. Especially the in camera pano's. Just wanted to start up a side challenge for October to get me back into shooting. So no need to sign up, just post your camera phone pano's here... and enjoy!

Original

a little Topaz ReStyle

I have been enjoying the Pano option on my iPhone. I especially enjoy the distortions I can get.

Here's one from Yesterday

And one from today! (Don't take pano's on busy roads!!)

Feel free to join in with any in-camera pano's... cell phone or otherwise.

The beginning of the flooding rains.

DPC limitations provide significant display disadvantages for panos.

Nice side challenge. Not sure if my phone (Galaxy S2) can do that (I'll check that tomorrow), but if it does I'll try that this month.

For the moment just a holiday snapshot from the (recent) past :)

The S2 can do that, no problem. :)

How about handheld and AutoStitched (but otherwise essentially unedited) shots like this?

As you know (but others may not), if you upload a larger image to your Workshop folder, when people click on the thumbnail, they'll be taken to the re-sized 800-pixel "standard display" BUT they will also be provided with a link to view the full-sized image exactly as you upload it. I suggest that you post a gentle reminder (as I've seen many others do) for viewers to follow that link for an optimal viewing experience.

Beautiful double-rainbow! My equivalent shot might be this one, taken with my Olympus P&S while driving down the freeway ...

As you've offered to include any camera with pano capabilities I'd like to join in with my Fujifilm camera.

Glad to gave you. I didn't mean to be so limiting and realized it after I posted the SC.

At the rink with my son. What better way to spend the evening?

GeneralE offered to change the thread name... I asked him to call it Oct. SC - Pano's, Anything Goes, just to be more inclusive.

All done. :-)

H'm, just uploaded a panorama, but it's vertical instead of horizontal (???). Seems it's not my day today, too many problems. I'll try to make it horizontal for DPC, it looks right on my PC.

Edit: Here's how that looks :)

Just uploaded a rotated version. Vertical again :( Any ideas?

My guess is it's something similar to what's going on in this thread.

Found the problem. Looks like DPC is doing a good job. The EXIF info says: rotate this image 270 degrees and so DPC does.
Looks like not all phone programmers are photographers :)

Luckily we have Phil Harvey

Problem solved soon, I hope. I don't overwrite EXIF information very often.

Now with the good orientation:

One of the panoramas I made with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) today. This one is made with the standard camera app, tried some other apps, but they also made me somewhat sad. Plus point: I liked the user interface of making a panorama photo. Something for DSLRs in the future?

The wall on the left is the same wall as the one on the right, it was right behind me.
Picking where to stand is important, & so is the ability to move the iPhone in a 180 degree arc.

I got some funny looks but nobody tried to stop me. "D
