I saw a lens rating site on the internet once (not long ago). It had a good comparison list of a lot of lenses. But it appeared that it hadn't been updated with any new lenses for a long time.
Does anyone have a more up to date lens rating site that includes some of the newer lenses?
I'm not specifically after a technical review of each lens ... more of a quick comparison chart of many lenses.
The point is that when it comes down to choosing a lens, it may be that one is better than the other and the marketing literature never really reveals that.

Rather than depend on a single review, I rely on the reputation that a particular lens has developed. I like to do research by searching the forums over at DPReview.com. The Canon SLR LensTalk forum has a wealth of info, you do need to spend some time, but it is well worth it.
Fredmiranda.com also is a good reference. |
