If anyone is interested in participating in the Critique Club, please let me know. I would like to try to add about 10 more members to bring the total up to 50 participants.

To participate in the CC, please do your best critique on a photo and then send me a link to it for review. The purpose of the CC is to provide your in-depth and detailed view of challenge photos. You don't have to be a technical guru to participate. All you need to be able to do is verbalize your feelings on a photo and offer any suggestions for improvement that you may see.

Thanks :)

John,

How about you send ME links for two photos you think suitable, and I'll either mail you reviews or post them here. I should be able to average 2+/week...

To anyone on the decision fence on whether to join or not:

I am a regular CC'er. I think I have learned more giving critiques here than I have through receiving comments.
Try it; I'll bet you enjoy it.

John, I've only done one so far, had meetings Mon & Tues. I'll be doing several more.

I agree with Jim - I've learned a whole lot doing critiques and it's fun too. And if you think all the photos are lovely even more reason to try to sort out why you like one. Even if it is perfect you can say in what ways it is perfect. You do not have to be able to TAKE a lovely picture to be able to LOOK at one.

The word critique implies that you have to be critical or find something wrong. I like the word "review" better. Ellen

I agree that I have learned, still am learning a lot from giving and receiving critiques I can manage between 3-5 most weeks.

"Critique" doesn't have to be associated with finding something wrong with a photo. It can also be suggesting alternative ways to shoot a photo.. exploring different perspectives... etc... I have 'critiqued' several photos where I merely discuss what i like about the photo and then go on to say that I can see no room for improvement :)
