Living in the rural South, or "in the country" as we refer to it, the Corporate World challenge will be a real challenge for me which brought to mind this suggestion for a challenge. What about a challenge called; The Nature of the business?
Nature shots could be as broad a topic as the open topic challenge recently. And it might give us poor folks in the country a leg up on the city folks that will do so well in this weeks Corporate World.

We have nature in the city! There's a pidgeon over there and... Opps, gotta go kill some nature in the kitchen :)

i like the idea. love taking 'nature shots'. i just dread to think how many 'ack, i hate bugs' and 'ack, too many bug shots' we'd get. or do we put a minimum size requirement on the 'nature' that can be submitted? *grin*

Yea, especially after city life not so long ago.

Someone was complaining about set-up/staged shots in another thread. The biggest "corporation" shot I could get without setting something up is a picture of a papermill. how many "did not meet challenge" comments do ya think I'd get? My shot for corporate world, has to be set up, unless I'm struck by divine inspiration. Heck, no one even wears a tie around here much, 'cept for lawyers and preachers (and some of the preachers don't).

How 'bout it guys. A nature or Country living challenge?

I was complaining about staged shots, but for the "corporate world" it looks :sigh: as if many will be staged - as mine will to...

Just curious... What's wrong with staged shots?

I suck at them..... How's that for starters.

I'd love to do a Nature shot challenge! (And not just because I also live in the rural South.)

Perhaps we'll need to define Nature, as pets could creep in until they Take Over The Challenge (starting an entirely new rant thread... or perhaps a separate challenge for themselves.)

I'd like a nature challenge too. I have one request though...could we hold it off until late September/early October? It's hot as the dickens in Texas and the mosquitos are viscious. One actually bit my eyeball or something when I was shooting for the free challenge...it swelled shut, ending my attempt to come up with a submission for the week.

on the other hand, a shot of a mosquito in the process of biting someone is DEFINITELY nature and would score high points from me. *grin*

sorry, don''t mean to make fun of you lisa, that sounds painful for your eye, but i just couldn''t resist ...

How about we wait until mid-October so I have an excuse to drive up to Maine and take pictures of the fall foliage? :-)

I know vicious mosquitos well... they're the New Jersey state bird.
