I have done a search and i cant find anywhere here that this link has been posted and i thougt some of you here may find it intresting or at least a worth wjile download, it is a good Photoshop compatible plug-in. It will allow you to create a number of photographic styles in one click. These styles include Film grain, B/W, B/W with tinting, Soft Focus etc. There are 50+ presets with the ability to adjust all parametrs and save custom settings.

The filter is called "virtualPhotographer" and is available totally free of charge at //www.optikvervelabs.com/default.asp It is currently available for the PC only. It has been tested with numerous image editors including:

If it is a plugi, shouldn't it work with Mac PS?

Just a question.. Would most of the "presets" in this plug-in be legal for Advanced Editing?

(I haven't used any yet.. just wondering)

Works great in psp. Thanks for the link. I stayed up all night and played with it. So. Would it be legal to use in the member challenges? I would think so, but want to get some opinions. Thanks.

The .exe extension represents a self-extracting winzip archive. Once you double click it, it extracts the folder to the directory of your choice. It's not a standalone program... it's definitely a plugin.

They also have a ZIP that you can download, if you don't want to download the self-extracting zip (EXE). I could always make you a SIT file. :-)

Edit: But alas, it doesn't work on Mac according to their website:
Currently virtualPhotographer works on Microsoft Windows '98, ME. 2000, XP. We are looking to create a Macintosh version

verification of virtualPhotographer plug-in is as follows.

The downloaded file is either a .zip or .exe file both of which are archives. Once unzipped the plug-in is placed in the plug-ins directory of your app.

It is currently PC only. The code base for a Macintosh is different so it is not cross-platform. We are investigating creating a Mac version in the future.

Additional settings files can be accessed from the LOAD button and any settings that you create can be saved with the SAVE button. Additional setting files can be found at //www.optikvervelabs.com/downloadextras.asp

Enjoy
