Today is my sister's birthday, and I was going to send her an Amazon Gift Card through email. I saw that you can now include a personal picture as the "card." So I thought, "Oh cool, I'll use a picture of my kitty, because she likes my kitty." Then I read the agreement. Here's part of it:
3) License Grant for Materials. You hereby grant to Amazon, its Affiliates and sublicensees a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right and license to (a) reproduce, distribute, transmit, publicly perform and publicly display the Materials, in whole or in part, in any manner and Media, (b) modify, adapt, translate and create derivative works from the Materials, in whole or in part, in any manner and Media, and (c) sublicense the foregoing rights, in whole or in part, to any third party, with or without a fee.
Needless to say, she didn't get a picture of my kitty.
Sorry if this has already been discussed. |
