Congratulations on your exhibition! Very exciting, and I know, so hard to pick which ones you'll show. I browsed your albums and thought they were very, very good... The following ones stuck out at me as my favorites:

3 Boats, Do Not Disturb, Harley Davidson, Bluebell Woods 1 & 4, and Butterfly 3.

It's really nice that you've got collections of several of a theme, like the butterflies and the woods. I've found that if you can put several groups of images together that run along the lines of the same theme, then it comes across as a well-put together show. Your abstract shots also fit together really nicely. Great lines.

Just checking back to see how things are going so far. Knocking off in a mo, it's turned 22.00 here and I'm up at 4.00 (need my beauty sleep, see profile).

Thanks for all the opinions so far I really appreciate it. Keep 'em coming.

My exhibition isn't until the summer but I don't want to leave buying all the A3 frames and framing all the pictures to the last minute.

Time sure flies. Thanks again.

Mark,

I like -

Do Not Disturb (Good contrast in a B & W)

Stormy Sky Windmill (My favorite of all)

Toadstools and Daisies (I love shallow DOF)

Sweep (This is a very good portrait, I like tight crops like this to allow the subject to stand on it's own strength)

Butterfly 4 (Good Macro)

Portrait of a Cornish Gull (It's better focused than the owl)

Coiled Snake (Good colorations, good focus)

Haunted Fairground (Interesting composition).

I hope this helped. Good luck with your exhibition.

deckchairs, end of the morning, bluebell woods series, Bedruthan beach, butterfly 3, cornish gull

of course it would help if we all agreed but you should go with what you like the best anyway

Thanks for all your comments and taking the time to look at my pix.

A little bit dispondant, however.....205 views so far but only 13 members think they're worth a comment?

Once again, thanks for taking the time out, I'm really grateful.

I tried looking a couple of times, but your web site seemed to get in the way mostly - maybe other people found the same problems. Perhaps pick a few more than you think you need, put them somewhere which is easy to view as a group, rather than several levels of thumbnails and you might get better feedback. As it was, most of the images wouldn't load for me. I don't mean to sound unhelpful, just trying to explain the limited feedback. The thumbnails looked like they might have been interesting.

Sorry, Gordon, I don't understand when you say that my website "got in the way". I thought it was a nice simple Click and View type thing. I like Picturetrail's template layout, and it IS a template so there's not really any other way to arrange my pics.

liked your animal work, but you need help with the slow shutter speed stuff. something should be in focus, everything can;t be moving.

I couldn't open most of the larger versions of the pictures.

I had to click on a top level thumbnail, to get to another set of thumbnails, that I had to scroll down through to see, then when I clicked on them I didn't get a larger version.

Something like pbase at least lays out all the thumbnails on one screen that you don't need to scroll through, as it was I could see about 3 thumbs at a time and no larger versions. Hope that helps.

Aaak - you want me to look at seventy pictures and choose a couple of favorites? Do you know how long that would take me on dial up? I think, like me. people just got overwhelmed and bailed. How about giving me 5? or even 8 to look at??
