That is quite a read!

Who says images can't be voted on in just a few seconds -- He could be finished with his second pass of most of our challenges in under 5 minutes. :D

I was watching the Olympics on and off and boy the majority of the Photogs there are using big white lenses... this seems to comfirm that.

I was at recent photography event, and a Canon representative stated that they had roughly 75-80% of the professional DSLR market, and it was growing as more and more media outlets switched 100% to Canon gear. After seeing these types of pictures several times (another recent example was from the Democratic National Convention), I think I believe the guy...

According to the Malaysian photog Vincent Thian, most of the Mk2 are reserved to US photogs coz of the coming US elections

Actually my dealer told me that the Olympics drained all the available 1D Mk2's, after it's all over we should be able to get more. I mean what better showcase for the 1D2 than the Olympics...of course Canon is going to try to get everyone going ther to use it.

Yawn. I'm more interested in what the guy in the stands took with his G5.

That is so funny!

Don't let all that gear scare you off.

All that high dollar equipment and still no guarantee that they will get the award winning shot!

In the TV special on PBS "Photography - A century of photographs" the award winning shot at one of the summer Olympic games went to the young kid on the sidelines with his point and shoot camera. He made thousands off the one shot he got and the pros missed. If I remember correctly it was in the broad jump.
