So one of the departments atwork was throwing out a box of stuff they never use, and there was several Olympus and Minolta SLR's in pristine condition and a Vivitar 100mm Macro lens with macro ring flash. I got first dibs on it and took one Minolta camera and the Vivitar lens and flash since they fit together. While I am interested in shooting film again once in a while I would really like to use the macro lens with my Canon if at all possible but I am having a hard time Googling a lens converter. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

I think it may be a lost cause. Adapting it to a canon would loose infinity focus. It would be to far from the image sensor. Not a big deal though, for a dedicated macro lens. But our cameras use electrical signals to control aperture. While old school lenses, use moving mechanisms to do the same. I'm sure its possible, but at what cost.... Most likely while you have found nothing.

I would look into the value of that lens. Vivitar had some excellent macros. Still in demand today.
A few bills could make the purchase of a EF 100 mm macro, just a little easier.

interesting...I will check it out. As a bonus the minolta ring flash works with my 5D2

In theory, a mechanical adapter for Minolta AF to EOS is possible, but Minolta MD to EOS is not:
Minolta AF = 44.6mm flange to film plane
EOS = 44.0mm flange to sensor plane
Minolta MD = 43.5mm flange to film plane

In order for a mechanical adapter to work, the flange distance for the system the lens is native to must be greater.
