Ok it appears that I have won my individual photowalk last month. My prize is a free e-book for lightroom 4. The only prob is I use photoshop an have no need for it. PM me if you would would like this book for the astronomicle price of free!!!!! I would rather someone download it that could use it instead of it going to waste.

I am using 4.02 the current version I think. Someone else can surely use this more than I can. I don't use it very much and it would go to waste on me.

A few questions for you:
- Do you shoot RAW?
- Do you do shoots where you need to do the following?
*... Cull and rate a lot of images?
*... Apply similar or identical basic conversion settings to a lot of shots?
*... Maintain a readily accessible library that can easily be searched?
If the above sounds like you, then you really should look at learning to really use Lightroom. It uses the same excellent RAW conversion engine as Ps, but with an interface that makes managing a large library a breeze.
And I haven't even gotten to Lr's flexibility in publishing or outputting for various end uses. Huge time-saver.
If you know that Lr is not for you, then I'm sure someone here will be very glad to be the beneficiary of your generosity!

does this mean you kept it? Because it's a wonderful program to use with any photoshop application...

Lightroom's great. I've just bought it, along with CS6. There is so much to Lightroom, that I still don't understand, but the basic developer mode is just like Adobe Camera Raw.
Definitely something worth getting on top of...........when I find the time and the dedication.
