I don't like the full composition. I like the crop, but would love it if her eyes were tack sharp.

I think it works pretty well however in this subjects case she has she remarkable hair and eyes, to not have them both vividly displayed seems a shame. Personally, I like closely cropped portraits but that is a personal issue of choice.

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone!

The idea was to have her swirl and get her dress flying up. She was trying to keep her face pointed toward me and still as possible while her body twirled. We didn't get great results, although she tried to keep her arms closer in and not moving so fast.

That's why I cropped so tightly. I'm still trying to decide what I think of the crop.
