so I've spent the last few days getting dirty in html and getting my new website put together.

no now i need a host, thinking about blue host, but i have a question first. will they or anyone else host my site on a domain that i can use to test the site to make sure it runs properly? it seems to be good when i test it locally but i want to make sure its good before i take down the current site hosted by another company.

I haven't heard of blue host, but I will reccommend my host, inmotion hosting. Nothing but good things to say.

As for a sandbox... can you transfer all of your current website to your new host? Then create a sandbox subfolder to test in. Otherwise I'm not entirely sure where you would be able to test if you do not have a domain attached to your host.

when you host at bluehost, you can have unlimited domains and sub-domains. you can use both their domain manager and/or ftp to set up additional sites. when you set up an account with them, you don't have to activate your domain mapping until you are ready to. your website will live wherever it is now until you actually change the names of your domain servers (which is something you have to do - it doesn't happen automatically).
