I'm in line for a new computer and can get a good deal on a Dell XPS 17 with the i7 8GB RAM 256gb solid state drive and 3G 555M nvidia graphics card

I've had a Dell before, was never a fan of it...but it was an inspiron not XPS

my current computer is a dog when trying to load up photoshop (I'm not going to lie, it's quite old)...so I'm looking for something that will open it in a blink and pull up photos fast

looked at the mac book pro 17" and strongly considered it, but with my config, it topped out at around $2700, while this XPS is $1400.

At this price point I can get the 13" mac book pro to go along with the XPS to use as a daily computer while I dedicate the XPS as editing only.

so anyone using an XPS and like it? or any other suggestions in the <$1500 range?
