Hi,

I would like to register a domain name (.com) and I would like to know more about web site hosting (with MySQL and a couple of email addresses).

Could someone help me with this: where to register the domain name? Which web hosting can I choose?

There are MANY companies that provide hosting services. I have worked with one at affordablehost.com and been pleased with their services. They also provide domain name registration services.

I have had great luck with eHostSource and I registered my domain at GoDaddy. Now I just need to get my website up and running :-o

I use these guys. I've had multiple experiences with hosts (both personal and professional) in the past, and these guys are by far the leaders for small sites. They have great prices and their technical support is superb.

I host my website at serverway.net $6/mo (less annually), for a good single-domain package. My domains are registered at dotster.com.

I use Ready Hosting

I haven't had many problems in the few years I have used them and I have been real happy with the service.

500mb web space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email

Ditto here James - they have been very responsive on the few minor issues I have had. Good deal at $99 a year.

I have used Interland (which I do NOT recommend and am switching from) and Network Eleven which I like and am quite satisfied with. Network Eleven's prices are better and capabilities more extensive. Their basic package features 500MB web storage, unlimited email accounts, unlimited sub-domains, MySQL, most web language support (Perl, CGI, FrontPage extensions, ...) and allow you to control every aspect of your account with a nice control panel. About $70 a year. More extensive packages are supported all the way up to dedicated servers.

I use DomainSite for my registrations... I have about 20 names with them, and they are truly great folks.

For hosting, I have my own space which I buy from ImageLink USA, but I also can recommend StartLogic.

Depending on your needs, you'll want to find a host that allows you MySQL databases and allows you to run server side scripting.

I just recently moved to //www.apisnetworks.com and so far they are great. I use //www.dotster.com for domain registration.

Tiger Technologies Web hosting and domain names

This is what I use. $75 a year webhosting and domain name, 100mb, unlimited subdomains/emails, mysql, php, webstats...
