Ok folks, I have not looked too hard to see how much this has been done already... but I am traveling right now with only my smartphone and MBP, and it got me thinking (since I am sadly without my Nikon for a couple days)... What about a camera phone challenge at some point in the future? I would vote for Advanced editing because I think some PP work could do a lot for a camera phone picture... but not so much that it's not still a photo. I bet there could be some real amazing photos from the creative wings. I would be really interested to see what the creative wings here would come up with under that limitation for an actual challenge, I am sure there would be some very cool entries especially with the somewhat advanced cameras we have in phones currently.
Thoughts? Subject ideas?
After some looking I do see that LMA128, Ecce Signum, and ccraft have suggested this in the past but it seems to have never turned into a challenge.

It was done last year Camera Phone Free Study.

Prior to that, we had done a couple of cameraphone side challenges. It does tend to make one concentrate on creative approaches, since you can't rely on sheer image quality to carry it.

| Ah, I see it has been done! And as I assumed the entries are impressive for phones, that's very cool! The 2nd & 3rd place entries are amazingly sharp!!! Well I guess I will wait to se when the next one is, would be a fun challenge. |
