Northern Californians - lets get the ball rolling and start off the 10th anniversary celebrations.

Now, you've all said you would like to see my gallery - here's your chance. It is in almost the exact geographic center of San Francisco and we can explore from there in any direction. Five minutes from the Twin Peaks Overlook, five minutes from the mysterious Glen Canyon, Not far from the Castro and Ocean Beach is just down the road.

If it rains, we can either hang out at the gallery, or come on over to my house and annoy the cat.

Question: Would you rather meet on

Saturday - January 14
Sunday - January 15

that's the first consideration, so let's determine that right away. Either in this thread or a PM will work too.

PARTY TIME! coming up!

Macpapas..........Saturday YES; Sunday YES
BrennanOB.........Saturday BEST; Sunday YES
BaldurT...........Saturday BEST; Sunday OKAY

c_Steve_G.........Saturday YES; Sunday YES

Sundays I play Pétanque, it is sort of my Sabbath, but I see those folks every week. Wherever, whenever, I'll be there. now where do we eat after?

HA ha - Brennan, you do cut to the chase, don't you. Let's work that one out later.

I think I might be interested in this, it sounds fun. Would it be an all day, or? I'd prefer Saturday, since I'd love to to some SF night shooting as well and Sunday would be harder for that, due to work on Monday.

well, right now, we're working on a preference for either Saturday the 14th or Sunday the 15th.

So, I will put you down for a Saturday preference. Let's see how it goes for a while as others respond.

And yes, San Francisco is wonderful for night shooting. (but you knew that)

I can't commit to this. But I will say that I am extremely interested, and it might just workout for me to go.
Either day

I work Saturdays, but there's enough time to change that for one day. Also depends on when the 'Niner game is...

Damn, we were a little early ;-)

AHA - planning ahead, Steve? Yes, according to the schedules, the regular season seems to end January 1, but we all know the 49ers won't stop then.

Meanwhile, put it on your calendar - and if you think of it, holler at Raisi too, will ya? It would be grand to see both of you.

Ooops, we don't want Northern California to fall off the front page this quickly.

Anybody else in the Bay Area or beyond want to express an interest?

This is for either January 14 or January 15, 2012.

Even though I'm not around here much any more, I'd love to meet up with everyone. Hope to see you all there!

If I'm able to make it at all I would prefer Saturday ...

Grand to see Philip Dyer's name on these pages again.
Phillip, you know I shall look forward to seeing you in January, if not before.

GeneralE, awwww, please try. Jeepers, you have two months of planning time!!
Added inducement(s) we can compare Priuses (Priui?)
and you can photograph my license plate for your collection.
And besides, if Isaac can come too, we can all see how this little guy has grown.

Maybe time to bump this to get a little preliminary Northern California enthusiasm going.
remember, we are determining availability for a GTG to celebrate DPC's 10th Anniversary.

The dates under consideration, are:

January 14 or January 15

So far, Saturday, January 14 has the edge.

That particular litle guy is now as tall as I am. :-)

That doesn't necessarily mean he's grown. ;-)

Okay, one more plug for the Northern California GTG
January 14 or 15.

Looks as if January 14 is leading slightly.

If anyone else in the area sees this, put your name on the list.

Otherwise, I'll revive this thread in about a month and we'll see what's happening.

We know "when" (approximately) and we know 'where". We just don't know "who" for sure.
And that would be nice to know.

Almost January! Time to bump this thread.

So, who's up for when? Last we looked Saturday had a slight lead, except for the uncertainty about the 49er playoff dates.

Are you looking forward to a 10th anniversary GTG? I know I am.

Is there anyone else in the area who would like to play? This would be a good time to holler.

Oh, dang, Fiora - but what a photo op day for you.
Hmmm, can you throw/catch a frisbee and take pictures at the same time?

Right -- I'd rather be in Oakland (with a TV) for that ... otherwise I can make either day, and I just realized it's a 3-day weekend for most ...

Is there any way to check on the schedule at this point? Or does some team still have to win or lose to see if the game - of course there will be one - is on Saturday or Sunday?
Heretical, I know, but I have not followed them this year.

Then, what time?

My thought is to meet at the gallery (678 Portola Drive - SF 94127) t 9 or 10am, check out the big overlook on Twin Peaks, and then decide from there as to what to do next. Some thoughts might be along the ocean, or even wander through Glen Canyon, a bit of wilderness in the heart of San Francisco that most people don't even know about. It's moments away from here.

In any event, our starting point is within easy reach of just about any part of the City, so it shouldn't be difficult to decide on a venue.
