Hi all,

Myself and another DPCer are thinking about a trip (4-5 day) to Iceland.
Possibly looking to go over in March, can any of the Icelanders here suggest whether the weather would be doable at this time? Is there a chance of the "Northern Lights"?

If the council could also arrange for a landscape challenge around the second week in March that would be cool ;-)

Thanks all,

Bob

Yeah I vote for... damn... trying to think of something where that great light and whatever is in the water will not help.... um.... desert macro bugs?

The weather in Iceland is even less predictable than in the British Isles. That said, The worst of winther will most likely be over in March. And, yes, northern lights are almost a certainty that time of year, provided you get a clear sky.
There is a website: "www.visiticeland.is" that might be of help planning your trip.
Have a good journey and enjoy your stay.
