This is my stock photography sales statistic for August 2011. You can find a complete list of stock photography agencies that I work with here.

These are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for August 2011:

Shutterstock
DepositPhotos
Dreamstime
iStockPhoto

I expended to have a drop in August, but the drop was much softer with only 11% compared to July. And an increase of 23% compared to August 2010. It was the best month ever for Dreamstime. At this point I also like to mention DepositPhotos. If I don't take in account the first view month where I received the promotion to get paid for upload, then August 2011 would have been the best month ever for DepositPhotos. DepositPhotos has shown a constant increase of sales for several month.

Good Statistic.

Do you have in all stock agencies the same files?

do you make "serious" money?

I'm just starting in this also.

I'm curious to know how much on average are you able to earn in a year of off stock photos and how many would you say you submit a month?

How much is "serious" money? For me it is just a hobby, but I make about $400-$500 per month.

I don't relay plan when I shoot or what I take pictures off. I just do it whenever I have time. In the moment I am very busy with other things, so I am happy when I upload 5-10 new images per week. I submit to all agencies the same images.

I keep a statistic file in MS Excel and I also create the charts in MS Excel.

people earn very ranging amounts. There are a good number of people earning full time incomes and a whole bucket load of people earning pennies. If you are hobbyist, pennies might be all your after. No matter the amount though, you have to work hard for it. It is hardly a 'get rich quick' scheme.
