Some days I regret selling my 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens, and going to see the Blue Angels air show a couple weeks ago was one of those times. However, I found that if you get some of the crowd in the shots along with the planes in formation, it gives things a little perspective that works okay. The angle of the sun from where I was didn't help any, but I did the best I could. Anyway, here are some shots--enjoy!

Looks like the 24-105 still did quite nicely for you.

Thanks! And don't get me wrong, I LOVE that lens! But there were times when I was definitely wishing for more reach.

It's events like this that makes me glad I have my 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM

Wow, it's prices like that ($2500 plus) that make me glad I have my 28-300 f3.5-5.6 VR NIKON lens (just under a $1000)
