I didn't manage to get this one in before the deadline to the Balance challenge... but I'd like to get some opinions/critiques/comments.

Some editing is apparent on 'her' leg. Looks like the foreground was imposed onto the background, so that takes away from the image. But I still like the concept.

This is very good
I think it would have done quite well :)

Indeed, that's an artifact of the post processing (ie, burn on the sky) ... I'm still working on it a little bit to get rid of the dark edge.

Very nice shot. Superbly good perspective.

Okay, I posted up the version with a better boundary between the burned sky and the leg...

I've got a personal attachment to the shot... took this one when we were at the beach together over the weekend... it's too bad that I was so exhausted when we got back that I forgot to upload it in time for the challenge deadline!

Oh well, lesson learned. :)

Thanks for the comments! Keep 'em coming.

I'm going to bump this one up for the daytime US crew...

Still looking for more opinions.

Nice. I just wish the sand between the two mats was dead center.. seems a little on the right side. Also, "His" side towers over "Her" making the left feel heavy. For a shot or composition like this, I'd try to get it perfectly symmetrical but that's only because of my interpretation of "balance."

I really like it a lot! It's a neat perspective! I'd have given it a 7 probably. Higher if the figures were a bit more balanced -- show some of her torso or eliminate the guy's. Or maybe have her left leg raised in back with a brightly colored flip-flop to balance his upper body showing plus give a little extra burst of color. Also the sky looks a touch oversaturated and artificial to me.

Very cute shot!

Thanks for the comments, everyone...

Gawd, it's nice to have my camera back. Two weeks without it was killing me! :)
