OK...so it's not the Corvette I wanted, but it is my first convertible and I just had to show you guys. Picked it up today...much more fun than trying to figure out what to submit for Chocolate! LOL

Once you've had the wind in your hair and an affectionate warm body next to you on a cool evening ... you'll never go back to a hard top!

Just make sure to put the top down at every opportunity or you'll lose your convertible endorsement.

Why not just photoshop it into a Corvette?

LOL

At the dealership I sat in a 2002 Corvette...candy apple red...oh my. I looked at the instrument panel and saw that it would go up to 200...and asked my husband if he wanted to finance "only" 30,000 more so I could get it. He didn't think it was that funny. It was such a sweet car...(sigh) one day!!!!!

Very fun so far! Although I am going to have to find a way to either live with a pony tail or hair clips when I drive it...or get one of those hairstyles that looks like the windblown look on purpose! LOL

Congrats! Problem is, no more time for challenges . . . . you'll be washing her, admiring her, driving her, murmuring to her . . . you get the idea! We have a red '69 Corvette for sale . . . when you decide to get that 3rd car!

An, no, a black car does not meet the chocolate challenge! lol

You will note that my husband was the one rubbing the car with a diaper in two of the three pictures. Now he's gone to the store to get a chamois and some other stuff we just HAVE to have to keep her looking nice. The minivan I traded in for it...well, let's just say that it didn't get the diaper treatment very often! LOL

Couldn't you have picked a better color Mrs. Black?

Now toss the GM maintenance schedule.

Oil changes (5W-30) every 3,500 miles.
Brake flush (DOT4 only) every 30K mi/2 yrs.
Drain/fill the cooling system every 30K mi/2yrs.
Replace the trans filter & fluid (A/Trans) every 30K mi/2 yrs.
Drn/fill the transmission (Manual) every 30K mi/2 yrs.
Replace the fuel filter every 30k mi/2 yrs.
Clean the fuel injection/induction system every 30K mi/2 yrs.
Replace the thermostat every 60K miles/4 yrs.
Replace the spark plugs every 60K mi/4 yrs.

Auto manufacturers have to report to the EPA how much waste a vehicle will generate in it's life cycle. They are assessed fees based on that. It's also a way to represent the vehicle needing "no maintenance" until 100K miles at the point of sale. When the vehicles come back in for service at the 30/60/90K intervals, those services "taken away" are once again recommended, as they will double the life of the vehicle's powertrain & brake system.

You also DO NOT have to have your vehicle service at the dealership in order to maintain the warranty. You can have it serviced at the shop of YOUR CHOICE, so long as they use the proper parts & fluids.

Just a couple little know facts regarding new cars...

Oh and enjoy that new car smell!
