Why not have 48 hours to vote? I really enjoyed this one and love working under tight deadlines. Since the other challenges take a week maybe we can get a couple speed challenges inbetween if voting was cut down to 2 days.

Just a thought. Since this is purely a challenge site IMO there is too much "down time" involved so why not fill it up with challenges?

Just a thought during a boring Friday at work. I am dangerous when I have too much time on my hands.... Hmmm, Styx song... hmmmm... song title...... HMMMMMM!!!! By Jove, I think I finally got it... LOL

When I entered the challenge, that's what I thought was going to happen - mustn't have read carefully enough :-)

I think that having a week to vote on a two day challenge is perhaps a bit long, and it would make sense to make the voting period the same length as the submission period.

I think a week is too long, but i also think that 2 days is too short...maybe just have it end sun night with the rest of the challenges regardless of when the challenge started

As much as I crave instant gratification, I feel that the voting period on all challenges should remain seven days so all voters have an opportunely to vote.

If it were a shorter voting period everyone would still have time to vote. It doesn't take 7 days to vote. Most everyone could vote in a 2 day window. In fact, it might increase the site's activity.

I agree. The members roster is growing steadily, imagine a speed challenege with 90 entries and only two days to vote. That's crazy. It's a speed challenge not a speed vote.

Those of you that have too much time on your hands, why not go back and write some real constructive comments. That would help this site more than you might think.
Just my opinion.

Autool, what hasn't been constructive here? I don't see any one bashing the site or the people who created it. What was said that got your nose bent out of shape?

Voting for me takes time. First I make a rough voting. When I have voted on all I go back and make my adjustments. I compare my 3-4, 4-5, 6-7 and so on. Finally I do my comments - as many as the time admits. All this is not done in a day or two. And folks we donĀ“t have just one challenge.

Davenit,
I'm not going to get in a shouting match, but I have noticed that the number of comments is down and a lot of participants do like to get constructive criticism and comments are a good way to help out. Enough said.

I think he means rather than saying you have nothing to do, and want the challenge over, why not leave some comments on the photos you have already voted on :)

Sorry you didn't think this was a valuable suggestion and I am also sorry my simple comment got you so upset. It was not meant to...

This is just my thoughts, ok? I'm not sure you really comments though. With your voting style. I can see how it tell them what you liked technically but not specifically. I thought comments were to be like "the focus on her hand is not real clear" rather than "Focus - 5". Or "The lighting is too light on the left hand side and and too dark at the top right corner" rather than "Lighting - bad 4". I realize they see where you get your score but not specifically. I just started entering, even though I've been a part of this for a while and I need them to tell me specifics. And that is what I have been trying to do for them. This is not to make you upset, but maybe to let you see what some of us are looking for. Do I make sense? It just a thought.
