Even if you're not a manned space and astronomy enthusiast as I have been since...well...birth, I think it would be hard not to appreciate photographs like this and the view of our world.

Wow well worth the wait.. those are amazing.. someday the rest of us will be able to take pictures up there.. hope its not before I die tho.. as that would suck.

Love the shots.. that one will be my new background :)

Yeah.... would be amazing to be able to get out of the thin atmosphere that me and anyone I know has always been limited to..... It's not in my lifetime but maybe one day.

I downloaded one of the hi-res original images from the second link I posted and up-sized it to 300 dpi using Perfect Resize 7 (formally Genuine Fractals) and than cropped it to my screen resolution of 1920x1200 px. I also did a slight high pass sharpening and saved as a jpeg. My new wallpaper for now, and it looks awesome on my 24 inch monitor. :)

LOL...well...never mind. :P Actually it took me about two minutes to do. Not hard or time consuming at all. :)

Clay, send me your personal email in a DPC PM, and I'll send you the file if you'd like. What is the resolution of your monitor?
