Since my swap over to Nikon from Canon I've been pondering what to do with straps. The ones I had been using were OPTECH straps provided by Canon CPS, and I literally loved them. Although hanging my Nikon cameras on a CPS strap that screams Canon isn't something I wanted to do. So I've been using standard Nikon straps, but I just can't stand them. So I started searching OPTECH for a comparable strap. I found a couple I really liked and ordered them through their Sidewalk sale. i got two really nice ones delivered for less than $30.Thought I'd pass along the link in case anyone else is looking for a deal, BTW no DPChallenge straps are there. :D

| I have a similar strap from pro master, and am surprised to see the number of people who keep using whatever came with their camera. Having a neoprene center on your strap makes a huge difference to avoid slippage, ease neck stress, and absorb shock when the camera slips. Having quick release pinch clips on either end of the strap is another advantage of these designs. If I could only find a camera bag which filled all needs as well as these straps do. |

| I picked up two of these which are as close as I could find to the CPS straps I've been using. BTW I sold both of the CPS straps for $50 each. LOL |

| OpTech also has a great 2 camera harness that you can just snap the straps into if you ever need to carry 2 at once. |

I have a Rapid strap too that I use when carrying two bodies while working. Great things.

Black Rapid all the way. i got one 3 months back and absolutely love it. |

The Black Rapid is the way to go, so comfortable in use.

| I use the BlackRapid as well. It is great. The only downfall in my opinion is you have to take the strap off the camera to use a tripod because the strap screws into the tripod recepticle on the camera. That can be bothersome at times. |

If anybody wants a "sling" style camera strap, they should definitely check out the Luma Loop in addition to the Black Rapid.
I have no experience with the Black Rapid, but started using a Loop recently and love it. Very well made and comfortable, quick to draw, and stays put on your shoulder very well. It can be looped through the traditional strap hooks on either side of the camera, or with certain tripod quick release plates it can be attached there. I have mine on my Arca Swiss style release plate and it does not interfere with any of my ballheads. It's really great to be able to quick release it while using a tripod and only have the one small metal part dangling from the camera and not flapping in the wind like straps do.
One issue with mine was the rubber O rings on the metal release came loose easily, but a few drops of super glue solved that problem completely.
