Originally posted by tanguera: Having shot in nightclubs, I can attest to how hard/stressful it is. These are really good, but I do have a couple of observations.
Tilt - in all three, it is the same. It is possible you shot many other angles, but these three are almost exactly the same. Tilt goes a long way and gets old very fast.
Flash - tends to flatten out mood/atmosphere. Crank up the ISO and try shoot in natural light. VERY tough, but much better results.
Also, don't know what the assignment is, but candids are also nice at these places. Almost impossible to do with flash, so try those with the high ISO. |
I had many more at different angles however these were the only 3 that would upload on photobucket which is strange.
They have VERY bad lighting so no flash isn't really an option. In other shots I had a lot more ambient light as well, I shot at 3200 ISO.
Once I actually go live with all the photos I'll be able to post more of a variety as I'll be hosting them myself and on facebook.
the assignment is just weekly nightclub shots, I work Fridays and Saturdays for the club. They just want pictures of guests so when we put them online they tag themselves and friends and people see the logo. Just all social media really. Great way to drive new guests if they see how busy and fun it is. |
