Photograph nature in it's most urban form, whether it be a bird on a wall, or flowers growing from the pavement.

Basic editing

This is SO cool!!1 A while ago I got sent a link to an owl cam, and pretty much didn't sleep for about 2 days, watching the parents bring back mice and watching the babies eat them up.

Yes. Right up my alley. (No pun intended. Maybe.)

As it happens, I stumbled over a Flickr group this morning that seems to be right in line with the OP's suggestion. This one's curated, so it's not a dumping ground. Some nice stuff in here:

The Urban Bobcat. A very adaptive species.

Twice I've had birds fly into my house when I had the windows open without screens. Does that count? :D

Disagreed. It makes you look better at the existing things, make you look better at your surroundings. There is probably more urban nature around you than you think. That's one of the things I love about photography, it sometimes makes me see things that I otherwise might not have noticed. That's why I think it's especially good as photo challenge.

Agreed! I wasn't even thinking animals when I considered the idea. Anthing more than a bird or a bug would be too much animal for what I have in mind. I'd be happy to call it urban still life, but urban nature sounds better.

I actually just wanted to make this exact suggestion last week, and never got around to it!
I couldn't think of a title (just had the idea of nature by something manmade), and therefore didn't post anything.
Great minds think alike :-)
Lets do this!

Great idea...and it looks like its been chosen. I just wish someone would have realized that a lot of DPC'ers are covered in friggin' snow and ice right now!
