I'm looking to create a site of my own that will feature a writing contest. I'm amazed that within six months this site has grown so rapidly. I was wondering, how did everyone find out about DPChallenge?

Went to "google.com" searched for Digital Photography Contests and viola! The contest for "outdoor macro shot" was just finished and I saw that grasshopper (Smiling Right At You) and decided this was the place for me! Been hooked ever since. :D

What kind of writing?

Did a search for Digital Photography Contest (I think I used Netscape search engine). I opened up about a dozen of them and liked how this one was for 'real' folks.

I heard about it from a post in Megapixel.net from Langdon (or maybe Drew...I searched for the thread but couldn't find it). Knew nothing about photography when I started, still don't know too much, but am learning.

I was doing a search under "digital photography" on google, saw the site and thought the idea of a weekly contest was cool.

Thanks to this site I now have a reason to use my digital camera other then family photographs and it's also a great way to give me something to do in my free time over the summer.

Back in February I searched on google for digital photography contests and dpchallenge came up. This was the best site I came across and I have been here ever since. I signed on just in time to vote on the road signs competition and was the 69th member. It's been a blast watching this site grow.

I first heard about the site from BAMartin. I'm not sure how she heard about it.

And I found a link to it on the Motley Fool web site. I know they are all about financial stuff, but occasionally something fun sneaks in. Interestingly enough, it was a post by Amphian that brought me here.

I think this is where I found it, too. In addition to actually interesting links, they have great satirical articles...

I forgot, Old-timers disease you know :-/

I think maybe a reference I was following from dpFWIW to a photographer’s webpage that participates here, in other words WWW.BWOM

Hey God, what picture do I need to take for this challenge? :-)

I found out about DPC doing a search for digital photography contests. I found it on a Sunday night just in time to snap a picture for curves and enter. (It didn't come in last, unlike one of my other entries. *grin*)
