Screwed up the date on my camera, this was my only 7+ image

Figured I was safe opening the file in Elements and doing a Save As. Nope. Since elements saved things in stacks, it modified the original, even though I did a Save As.

It was at 6.7 when it was DQ'd

317 challenges, no DQs. I did acouple of self-DQs though, but those don't show.

No DQs yet *knock on wood*
I have only ever been asked for validating twice though.

What she said.

My 2nd entry, from way back before I learned to read. It's gotten a lot of views though.
I had in mind what it would be like to shoot a wedding and find later that you had a couple of huge dust bunnies on the sensor when you brought the images up on the screen. I'm sure that it's a nightmare that some of us have had.

How about 586 without a DQ (couple of self-DQ's) - is that decent? :-)

Guess I've never pushed hard enough.

All my DQ's below:

Were you able to reverse any of them?

From not keeping my original which actually thought I would never need once I realised it...

To a stupid stupid mistake which I so regret as I really loved this shot and wanted it on my front page

May there never be another

This was my only DQ. The original didn't look that much different, so I was sort of disgusted with the verdict. However, the image was not all that, so ultimately it didn't matter to me.

I think I've done 3 self DQs over time.

My first entry...I don't even think I read the rules. Look at the description. I pretty much telegraphed that it didn't obey the rules. The DQ was for no original sent in. I don't even remember the email request !

(Oh...I"m on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, my daughter is driving and I'm on my new mac tethered to my Droid.)

Ain't technology grand? Would you PM me with how you did that? Both me and my sweetie want to use our phones to connect our laptops to the internet.

No ... but I argued so much about the first one that they decided to punish me by asking me to join the Site Council.

The first one is a clear violation of an objective but "stupid" rule which we later got rid of. The two others are sujective decisions I still disagree with -- obviously I wouldn't submit something I though violated the rule as I understood it.

FWIW I do not look at the SC discussion thread when I have an image subject to validation -- all my communications are via PM, just like everyone else.

If arguing is what gets you on SC, how come I'm not on it? LOL
