I have a challenge suggestion, since we are doing these, "re-visited" challenges, I would love to participate in a song title re-visited challenge, I think that would be a fun challenge and nothing gets me going better than some of my favorite tunes. Just a suggestion.

I, too, would like to revisit that one. I had a lot of good song titles in my head, and the week we had that one, I was not able to execute any fo the pictures.

Maybe next time. :-)

I missed it first time round... and when it comes to thinking up titles for a shot, song titles are always in the front of my mind...so I would really enjoy a "Song titles revisited" challenge

oh yeah...i would love that one! also, we've had a book titles challenge...why not a movie title challenge?

I like the song titles idea. Its so much fun already to find photographs that go with favorite songs of mine, so why not do it on DPC and see how everyone else interprets their songs.

how about CD album covers or even vinyl revisited! ;)

Let's get us a megaphone and pipe in this idea :D That'd be awesome- I didn't get to do the song one the first time and that'd be really fun

I'd like to add my weight to the idea and say how wonderful it would be for such an opportunity. similarly perhaps album titles might be a second possibility to add a little variety... however, i've had two thoughts about the song title idea - perhaps submissions should be limited to top 10 singles (which means obscure untitled bonus tracks on cds can't be submitted). or perhaps someone with an ipod or similar should be commandeered to give tracks out to willing participants on a random basis? THAT would be a challenge!

I'd love for this challeng to be revisited. I'd have to say "no" to the top ten idea though. I'd rather sell my camera than have to listen to top ten. Unless there are top ten independant or jazz charts that is.

hey, there have been decent top 10 singles that can be listened to (i.e. contain real instruments). i hate the top 40 as much as anybody, but i think a degree of familiarity with a song title would be of value when voting comes along. would you really want 90% of comments to be "never heard of it"?

anyway, even morrissey chalked up a top 10 hit this year, so it's not all bad.

I didn't even know Morrissey had a new album out. Damn,. I gotta start paying attention to music again. I wonder if PJ Harvey hit any of the charts this year.

Her new single The Letter did alright a few weeks ago. That would be a boring choice for a song title challenge... her new album Uh Huh Her is brilliant - i'll be seeing her in, ooh, 6 days!

I'd kill to see her. I should be happy though,... I get to see the Pixie's this fall in Chicago and my new favorite, Manda and the Marbles on the 16th of this month.

i wouldn't go kill anyone, there's a remote possibility that it might slightly annoy polly (she's a shy quiet lovely lass from the countryside). the missus i know would want to inflict pain on someone to see the pixies though - especially now as i'd imagine it would be some sort of greatest hits gig, right?

Yep,. Nice little reunion tour playing sold out stadiums. Ya can't beat it,.. unless it would be to see Lush. Fat chance of that though considering the drummer died.
