For those interested....

I just made a blog post interviewing 9 industry leaders in microstock and asked them four questions
* Sales channels are moving away from the stock sites themselves
* The microstock industry is still profitable and will continue to be so, but it is getting tougher to compete
* Video is a growing fast and is a hot commodity
* Keep your collection tight with relevant keywords

You can check it out here

Some don't have much faith in their business model and seem nervous about the future.

An informative video from people close to the stock industry, thanks for sharing this.

Hope you resolve your mic problems. It looked like a mic that needs to be used close
to the mouth like a desk mic night show hosts use.

The mic was a Zoom H2 and I think it should have worked fine with all the interviews. I think my problem was that I had the 'extra sensitive' setting on when it didn't need to be and the sound went over the max level, basically like overexposing a shot.

I felt the microstock site owners had faith in their business model but they also felt it was going to see changes in the next years, which is most likely true. Anything to do with technology doesn't stay still for too long these days.
