Challenge Subject: Holiday Spirit

Challenge Dates:
American Thanksgiving, November 24th, 2010 through Epiphany/St. Stephen's Day, January 6th, 2011 using your DPC Times. (Show your best example of the season's holiday spirit. This will include the American Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, along with whatever falls in the the time period. )

Registration:
Each Entrant is required to register with Cowtownmom to receive their challenge number. Please include full name, age, Account username and Parent/Photo Buddy's name for Elementary Photographers along with both contact email and snail mail address. All info will be held in confidence and only the entrant's first name and age will be released at the end of the challenge.

Submissions:
Submissions can be emailed to cowtownmom@hotmail.com who will then post it to the thread. You may only enter 1 photograph, Just like a regular challenge. This challenge for the 7 and under age group will be just a gallery and therefore will not be judged. Your challenge number will be used until the challenge is over and then your name and age will be added to your post with your picture. Till then comments and judging will be anonymous.

Challenge Rules:

Elementary Photographers:
DPC Basic Editing Rules are to be used but a Photo Buddy's account and help are allowed. A Photo Buddy can be any DPC user who wants to encourage a Junior Photographer. In other words, Grandparent's, Aunts, Uncles, Family friends are great choices for a Photo Buddy.

Junior Elementary Photographers: 7 and Under
1. May enter under parent's or Photo Buddy's account. No limit to entrants as long as they are within the age range.
2. Buddy's may help with camera settings and post processing but must use Basic Editing Rules.
3. May submit more than one photograph but only one at a time. Please include a brief description of your Holiday Spirit picture highlighting how it shows off the holiday season. (Editing and processing steps not necessary).
4. If you replace your photo, please use your original posting and change it there.
5. Your picture will not be ranked but will go into a gallery with each photographer receiving a participation certificate.

This wonderful photo was entered in the youngest Jr. Photography Side Challenge by Brianne Huls. She is the 7 year old daughter of Jennifer Huls, sjhuls. Both she and her sister, Kaylee, age 9, participated in this Junior's Challenge. The Judges and I wish her a big Congratulations on this wonderful entrance.
