Apparently, this new study shows that people born with the DRD4 gene and who are socially active as children will have liberal ideals as an adult.

I wonder if polling booths will be replaced with biotech labs in the future...

At any rate, I guess this finding spells doom for liberals considering that conservatives are more likely to have kids and less likely to have an abortion.

You don't think conservatives have abortions???? Well now, I've got some swamp land I'd like to sell you. In any event, one of the sections in the new Obamacare specifies that hospitals must test for this gene before couples are allowed to marry. Just one more of the hidden jewels we'd have never discovered If (You have to pass it to find out what's in it) Pelosi hadn't ram rodded Obamacare down our throats.

As with other dopamine receptor subtypes, the D4 receptor is activated by the neurotransmitter dopamine. It is linked to many neurological and psychiatric conditions including schizophrenia, Parkinsons disease, bipolar disorder, addictive behaviors including sex addiction, and eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating. It has also been linked with novelty seeking and liberalism

I didn't say that conservatives don't have abortions. Studies have shown that conservatives are less likely to have them.

Old joke.

A discredited doctor had just received a major grant to transplant the heart of a liberal into the body of a conservative. Another doctor correctly pointed out that it would fail, since there was no way to stop the liberal heart from bleeding. They decided to do it the other way around. The disgruntled doctor stated, in frustration, "Sure, and where will I find a conservative donor?"

The cure is right there in the article. The "liberal gene" seems to be triggered by having a wide circle of friends growing up. The cure is to ensure that the child has few friends and thinks primarily of themselves as a child. Presumably this self centered and friendless child will grow up to be a conservative.

The DRD4 gene is back again. This time it's being linked to sexual promiscuity. DrAchoo was right (post #10)! So apparently the people who are more likely to be liberals are also more likely to be alcoholics and sleep around. It's weird what science can figure out...

Apparently the creativity and inventiveness often gets applied to getting laid... :D

Is there a problem with the Post numbering system? Johnny quoted me in post #10, but I don't see post #10 as being by me at all (I see the post as post #2). Does it matter if you have the posts listed from top to bottom or bottom to top?
