Am I going to be up for going to a concert two days later?
10/07/2010 08:07:22 PM · #2
yup - 24 hours and you`ll be right as rain.

wear tight underpants though - stops em swinging.

(the site breathes a collective sigh of relief knowing I am no longer a breeder)

But look on the brightside, at least I cant get AIDS now!

;)

Only two days later,....I'd be avoiding crowd surfing in the mosh pit.

Worst thing I ever heard uttered from the doctor, " Ok ... thats one "

Doc told me thirty minutes in and out...an hour and a half later I was done. My wife, girlfriend at the time, sat through the procedure thank God. Make sure you ice (frozen peas work great) and rest up prior to your concert. Good luck Doc!

mine two weeks ago.

the procedure was quick, and didn't hurt at all, not until a about an hour later when i got home and the numbing agent wore off. after that its just real sore. you know the feeling, its that lingering dull ache after youve been kicked in the boys.

as long as you just sit around and dont move too much its not bad. the next day is much much better.

i finally got the excuse to pull the Lord of the Rings extended edition marathon.

next to breaking my leg, some of the most excruciating physical pain I've ever endured

its not that bad.

the worse part is you have to wait 8 - 10 weeks, to find out if you are sterile.

My husband suffered horribly after his, even though he had a highly recommended doctor. It's my understanding that there are a certain percentage of men who react poorly to the procedure. I'd wait to buy the tickets until after you're sure you're not in that group :)

Yup...I sent my hubby to the vets....he was done at 6pm (with a local anaesthetic...he stayed awake as he said he wanted to hear if the doctor said OOPS) and went out early the next morning and play 18 holes of golf...no worries. His brother (who was fully knocked out for it)however was bruised from stomach to his knees and lived with frozen peas for a few days!! LOL..So it really depends on both yourself and your recovery ability and your chosen doctor.

Oh, about 24 years ago. Uh, no discomfort at all. I kept thinking, "Is that all there is to it?"
The big benefit was for my wife; no more meds, thank you...

My appointment was around 11 in the morning, and I played golf with my boss that afternoon, although I didn't play very well. My boss said it was probably because of dead balls.

maybe i was a special case but my entire package was purple the next day, but the pain is more like a dull ache. remember being a teenager and your making out and don't get the chance to go all the way? the pain is about like that.

best piece of advice you'll get:

the same day and the following day you will feel VERY GOOD! DON'T BE FOOLED! Use the frozen veggies bag every chance you get and REST REST REST. If you go to the concert sit (or stand) in one spot move around as little as possible. you will FEEL GOOD but you're NOT HEALED. I speak from experience...the second day after surgery i felt great so i hosted a mike tyson fight at my house (tells you how long ago it was!) Running up and down the stairs serving food etc. The next two days I paid for it in bed whining with a bag of frozen peas....

moral....take it easy for a few days or pay the price

ETA: before he started he gave me my first (and only ever) shot of valium. it felt so good i was telling him "go baby no Novocaine just do this judas" and he laughed...gave me the shot...did "1"...when he started "2" it felt like he pulled a cable that ran straight to my throat and i screamed. he gave me a second shot "inside" and that shot my friend was the worst pain i ever felt in my life...

Can't remember the finer details, the early 80's is a bit removed from clear memory nowadays. I do remember I went back to work immediate and back to the doctor 2 days later, one side swollen like an apple. Not resting caused bleeding.

But two days later... go for it! And I agree, record it and share the photos. Kekekekekeke.

A great thing about the snip is that you will never for that reason have to say your sorry again.

i was looking forward to a cute nurse helping me collect a sample. That is until they gave me the cup and told me i had to drop it off...

WAAYY too much info! I really didnt need to see this thread.

haha it's funny that the doc is asking his "patients" questions. My ex had it done years ago, no big deal, and we had crazy unadulterated sex for years because of the freedom of knowing that I wouldn't get prego. : )
