I ordered another Speedlite flash that I am planning to use with my other (same) flash and take street photos. Using a long PC cable to one and using other as slave, my plan to capture shots at skate parks with some print exchange offer to the kids, as well as portraits of some people.

If anyone interested in, this SC will start October 1st and will go until the end of this year.

This time I am making a list. To make things more interesting, I might come up with a voting option to vote for the pictures uploaded here.

Rules: Advanced Editing rules apply. Even though this SC starts next month, you can use your older work (new ones are preferred obviously)

Is it street photography, or is the hotshoe flash part of the SC topic?

Uhm... Let's see, it makes totally sense... What would be the correct "name" for this SC, assuming that you do understand what I mean here :-\

I'm in to try some. Probably won't post at the beginning much, but will try to add some comments to the fray. I'll participate in a limited fashion, for sure, more pending how much time I can afford.

Thanks :) I'll put your name to the list... there is enough time to try something or two ;)

I assume you're interested in posting with non-action sports subject matter, as well, correct?

Yes, absolutely. I just couldn't find any samples other than this

to explain my goal for this SC :)

Above sample might not be exactly what street photography should be... however, lighting is good sample here.

By the way, there is no need to wait until dark to take flash photos :)

I was just joking. Street Photography using off-camera flash might be more to the point but your title is fine.

Second thought. Let's keep it it as is. Because I think it is ok to use hot shoe flash on camera as well as out of camera same time (Using slave or PC cable)

Bump.

I know there are many people doing street photography here. Just add a flash or two to it, you'd be a participant :-)

I've been meaning to say...

You're actually going to use a flash for street photography? It just doesn't make sense to me FocusPoint. I wouldn't dare do that here. Our laws do not permit us to photograph people without their permission even if they're in public. Using a flash would be asking for attention, and trouble.

Most people don't even notice unless you put the flash right in their face.

Where are you at?
