Did you use a real gun or a pellet gun? Nice sequence.
Did you pick up the glass afterwards? ;) |

| How do you time it to capture the "peak action" shot? Do you just shoot a burst and hope for the best??? Interested in the technique to capture a sequence for that sort of thing... |

Heh, it's on the local range, where bottles and washers are the targets..
It was actually 2 "real" guns (not that pellet rifles aren't quite real..), one Ruger .22LR single action six, and a .22 LR Ruger Charger. Both were fired by other people (friend and fiancee) and it was done as a 1, 2, 3 (fire on three) sort of thing.
Timing was handled by just bursting as they fired, really more efficient than you might suspect (at least when everyone hits the target and remembers to take the safety off :) )...
Shutter speed was maxed out @ 1/8000 sec, f/5.6 @ 400mm, ISO 800. Oh, and that was in full sunlight. |

Very nice pictures!
Just a thought, if you do this again it would be interesting if some of the bottles had water in them or some liquid, would be curious to see the results ;) |

Yeah, a 105mm howitzer would be fun to watch rip through, well, anything. :) |
