I just bought a new canon 85mm 1.2!
Now maybe this how it should be but it strikes me as a hell of a lot of chromatic aberration.... am I doing something wrong?

Cropped to 100%

A review

Vignetting is very noticeable at f/1.2 (even on a 1.6x FOVCF body. Full frame users will see vignetting nearly disappear by f/2. The Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L USM Lens has about 1 stop of vignetting advantage over the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Lens. A bit of CA (Chromatic Aberration) is noticeable wide open at times.

I have noticed under extreme conditions the CA but not always wide open. Here are 4 wide open samples of my son's dog against a darker background and it's not there. Dark against very white background will usually get you some with nearly every lens wide open.

You can notice just very little in the last one.

Much better than the 85MM F1.8 and it goes away very quickly F1.4-F2.

BTW none of those photos are edited and are resized from very large to that only by Lightroom so pay no attention to the lack of sharpness. LOL
