Hi everyone,

After being out of the photography scene for a long time, I decided to get back into it. I was recently accepted by Alamy Stock photography house, and I was wondering if any of you are doing well with them financially. I don't mean to get personal, I was just wondering if I am wasting my time with them or if it worth it?

Looking forward to getting involved in the challenges again.

We discuss Alamy plenty in the Stock Photography forum (which is probably the best place for this thread). Do a few searches there and you'll find more than you probably want to know.

Specific to your question, Alamy is a great money-maker, but as well any stock photo sites, you need to have realistic expectations. I don't track my stock income as detailed as many others here do, but I'll say I'm very pleased with Alamy. Elaborating much more will just be regurgitating what's already in the stock forum. Do some reading there, and I'm sure others will reply here with more specific details.

The most important "thing" to understand is what your expectations are -- in terms of investment in your time and resources, as well as what you're expecting in return -- both short- and long-term.
