I decided to move my Aperture library to an external drive so that I could save space on my laptop as well as use my Mac Pro to edit (sooo much faster:).... anyways I restored my library from backup to the new external drive and copied my user/library/Application support/Aperture files to the macpro and everything seems great EXCEPT, my flickr and facebook albums are not showing up.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

wish I could help. I am an Aperture user, but haven't encountered anything like that. I run several libraries from an external HDD and have not had a problem. I did notice however, the flickr library is not available for export if the HDD with images is not attached.

I think the mac os is supposed to allow Aperture to keep track of your library if you move it directly with the Finder file system, but I chose to actually use aperture itself to move my library--though what I did is move older album/projects off to an external drive one at a time, keeping current/active/new stuff on the mac. I think you can select "Relocate Masters" from within aperture. But I have no idea what it does for flickr/facebook in that case--I don't directly export from aperture to online locations.

if you have snowleopard than you should have Time Machine... you can use that... go to //www.apple.com/findouthow/mac/#timemachinebasics for basic info.

I use timemachine for general backup but have been using the Aperture Vault for my photos to a different HD.

I found the fix, so simple yet kindof weird. On a whim I added a new Flickr album thinking it might make Aperture make some under the hood connections and voila, all of my old ones showed up!
