That link doesn't work either!

Oh Well. It worked for me... I just used the photo search and typed in sphere! Do that instead.

I prefer natural spheres over the synthetic ones ;)

You mean like stars, planets, and oranges?

yes yes, those are the ones

Well, I for one will vote down anything circular or hinting at round at all.

I want to see people think outside the box on this and show us photos of cubes, cylinders or trapezoids. I feel I need to see the personality and soul of the shape in question and you cannot do that with a photo so directly on-topic.

I'm no mathematician but how do cubes, cylinders or trapezoids fall within the definition of a sphere?

ETA: Oh I get it, you're competing in the other challenge.

Nope. It's a commentary on the current voting in the Street Portrait challenge. :)

I have a sphere.

BTW, my favorite rock band from the 80s is Spheres for Fears.

The previous links don't work because I'd imagine the search IDs time out after a certain time.
So something more like this: //www.dpchallenge.com/photo_search.php?q=sphere should work - doesn't have a search ID associated with it.

I like quite a bit!

Whoever can take pictures of the Atomium in Brussels has an easy strong entry.

Lots more spherical buildings to be found:

Would be DNMC because those aren't spheres... they are domes or hemi-spheres at best.

Not to mention...

I guess I could do something like this again

but I don't like to repeat myself...

Would it now? I can see why but that'd be a bit harsh, woudln't it?
I'd say it'd get a few dnmc's, but it consists of hemispheres.

Maybe that's me though. I don't like to DNMC things until I've had a good hard think about whether it actually does or doesn't.

Bah, my entry is clearly hemi-spherical... Still looks like a sphere to me, and if some voters feel it's DNMC, then kudos to them, they're probably right, but it was a fun shot for me and an unusual style for me as well... So whatever, some voters will feel that half a sphere is enough, others will not.

I don't think that would be harsh at all... the challenge is for spheres.
