Okay, I didn't vote for him and I'm am pretty much against him.
But these seem to be snippets from speeches directed at Muslims. Shouldn't he use these terms to connect to Muslims?
Of course, people wanted change and here it comes. |

That is the dumbest attempt I have seen to twist Obama's words to what extremist right wing christians think is against him...
Muslims are not America's enemies... they may be christian enemies, I don't know I'm not a christian (or a muslim), but they certainly are not my enemies.
This country was founded on religious freedom as I recall.... |

Every time I see these types of videos it makes my blood boil and I get this urge to ride my camel and rampage in the desert and start yelling like crazy seeking Infidels..... but unfortunately I don't live in the desert, nor do I own a camel(or have seen one in a few years) and as a matter of fact i don't think an "infidel" exists, damn there goes my daily activity!

I'm a Muslim, I live in Jordan which is located in the middle east, bordering Iraq and Saudi Arabia from the east, Syria from the north, Israel/Palestine from the west, and the red sea from the south. Surprisingly enough I have never witnessed or experienced war(Thank God), nor have I ever seen any sort of ethnic or religious violence.
Islam is a religion, it preaches good things, it has been taken out of context many times, it respects faiths from the holy books like Jews and Christians. I can just go on and on and on but if you really want to know what Islam is you got to read about it yourself and empower yourself with knowledge such that you can decide for yourself if the crap you see on you tube is real or if its propaganda aiming to demean the faiths of other people.
As for the video, the legal disclaimer in the first few seconds in itself shows the intentions of the authors. the heavy editing and quoting his words out of context is enough to discredit what they are trying to prove, one small example is when he says :" I Know because I'm one of them" at 00:00:30 I lol'd so hard because it was so obvious they edit that sentence from two speeches.
Most of the video is part of a speech he presented in Egypt, addressing the Muslim world, in an attempt to bridge gaps and increase understandings between the western world and Islam.
Anyway to try to end my point, i know DPC community is a great bunch of people, from all around the worlds with different views and experiences, i urge everyone one of you to listen to the other side as well, some people with a certain agenda in mind made and edited that video, I suggest you watch the speech he made in Egypt in the first few months of office and JUST DECIDE FOR YOURSELF AND DONT LET ONE VIDEO FORMULATE YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE SUBJECT!
just for the record some may say that Muslims are bloodthirsty and evil etc..etc.. Well let me tell you this in every religion you have extremists who ruin the image of their religion, and I emphasis EVERY religion I can go all night talking about extremists in other religions! and please remember that the Muslim extremist don't represent the over ONE BILLION peace loving Muslims in this World.

| An interesting aside of sorts - I'm in the market for a health care provider. There is a clinic very conveniently located not far from my new home, that is accepting new patients with my health care plan. It is based on a Catholic charity, and of the two doctors who are accepting new patients, one is Hindi, one is Muslim. I love that! |

Look, I could care less if Obama is an African American or muslim or anything else really. Anyone that dislikes him, all they have to do is look at his policies. He is the worst thing that has happened to this country in the 20th and 21st century. I had the chace to talk to a professor of pharmacy the other day. His views were alot more than mine. I shared 99% of his views. The question that he asked me is absolutely true...."Can we afford this president?"......Well can we? He has not even done half of his term and he has quadrupled our debt. Also he is handling the oil spill like a little 5 year old.....Anyway that is my view on the matter

The government doesn't have the expertise or equipment to deal with the leak, and spending taxpayer money on the problem is presumably out of the question given your complaint above. So how would you have handled it?

What is a professor of pharmacy? Ive never heard of such a field of study. Pharmacology perhaps? While I might trust such a man's views on Anacin versus Bayer, how could the study of potions and pills make him worthy of quotation on issues of state any more than who was likely to win the world cup?

Ahmad, Thank you for taking the time to respond to this drivel with such a level-headed plea for understanding.
We need more people like you to stand up and make us learn about who you really are, by example. Every time one of us gets to 'meet' and talk to one of you, we get a little closer to internalizing the fact that many of us are pretty much the same the world around. And I really appreciate you generously helping me with our extremists. :)
This works in both directions, for sure!
And folks, next time can we elect an actual Muslim just to tweak the teabaggers? Just to prove that a sensible Muslim could make a sensible president? Just to get the racists to better identify themselves? I wouldn't want to BE that president, but man I'd love seeing one. (It's a given that any upcoming president will be religious, so why bother distinguishing one form of faith over another? I doubt I'll ever see my REAL dream of an atheist president.)

Really now... I would have thought that some of the horrendous natural disaster that have occurred on American soil would have been first on everyone's list but I guess when one is fixated that perspective can become askew.
