The b/w one puts more emphasis on the ants, while the color verson seems to make us want to see the whole scene more. I like the b/w version.

I like the color version better, but that should come as no surprise - I was one of those who commented that I would like to see it :-)
FWIW, I like the B&W version very much too - it is really a close call. |

| I normally prefer color over b/w but in this case I think the b/w version is better. |

| It depends upon where you want to place the emphasis in the picture. If you want the ants, they definitely do stand out in the black & white version. |
