Having just erased everything on this computer and reinstalled Windows, one of the first things I wanted to put back on was Paint Shop Pro. Unfortunately, I can't find my installation disc for it, but I thought there might be way around this. I also installed PSP on our other, much older, computer. It's almost useless for photo viewing and editing purposes, but I thought that there might be some files on it somewhere that confirm that I did indeed own the CD. Can I download the trial version of PSP, and then transfer certain files onto the newer computer to upgrade to the full version? (It's a long shot, I know)

If this is impossible, would it be worth buying PSP8 or, dare I say it, Photoshop?

done the same myself squirrel, its frustrating to say the least. I think if you still have your registration key (you know, the one you put in a safe place) you may be able to download it again and just re-register.

If you had registered your copy of PSP I would think it might be worth a try to contact Tech Support thru the Jasc website.

If you're a registered JASC user the upgrade to PSP 8 is quite inexpensive.

Hopefully you did register it; if so, Jasc will probably be able to help. Alternatively, you still have the installation on the old 'pooter, so you should be able to call up the help/about dialog. The key may show there. If you can download & install the same version on the new 'pooter, then enter the key from the other machine, you may be set to go. Assuming that the key shows up and that's all that's required...

Thanks for your help. It seems like I have a good chance; if not, it's not the end of the world.

If you have PSP installed on your old computer it is possilbe to copy the entire program onto cd and then take it to another computer. I downloaded my PSP 7.0 quite sometime ago and registered it. Then when I got my new computer I was able to just copy to cd and then load it on the new computer.
