Does anybody else think we are taking this "hidden due to content" a little too far. Out of the three ribbon winners in the lingerie challenge I really can't see anything in the three images that would warrant a "hidden due to content".

Now if they were nudes I could possibly understand it, not necessarily agree with it but at least understand it, but these three images are nothing you wouldn't see in a flyer from Target or in your local paper.

Instead of photographers I imagine many people coming across this website would think we are a bunch or prudes!

The "hidden due to content" thing is the choice of the photographer, by choosing to place that photo in a particular gallery, for the most part.

Ok, I didn't realise that. I imagined it must have been a decision of the moderators.

We only flag actual nudity when the photographer doesn't.

Oh, and for the record, if you buy a membership, you get to choose whether or not to display that content.

Thanks Shannon, looks like I should have done a little research first!

It's also good to have for when I'm using a computer at school, like now. (If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't keep nude photos hidden...)

I do understand that, but surely the three ribbon winning images in the lingerie challenge wouldn't be a problem at school.

Hi I havent read the thread, but the hidden due to content is completely rediculous here, there is no nudity, all models are dressed and in one you even only see a models legs

Based on some of the scores I got for my photo I have reached the conclusion that there are a fair number of prudes here at DPC.

But I don't really understand why mine needs this filter ... I didn't put this myself...

I have this website open on my computer at work, which I couldn't do otherwise. So, though I have no personal reason to hide any photo, nude or otherwise, I have to be very very careful at work. So I appreciate & trust the 'hidden' option.

Did you place your entry in the "nudes" gallery by applying a gallery tag to it when entering it? That's how it would have happened..

I was wondering, don't you find any of the comments, from the prudes or others, helpful?

I didn't place this photo on galleries (still no gallery for this photo).
I'm just sad that we can't show this on the front page of DPC...

Well, they were all helpful. Some were helpful in letting me know that some people find pubic hair offensive. Who knew? I don't understand it and would never have predicted the reaction because it doesn't offend me in the least and I had never considered that it would be offensive.

Query: have you ever wondered why there exists a treatment called the "bikini wax"?

Oh, and for the record, if you buy a membership, you get to choose whether or not to display that content.

In a lack of good judgment though, this flag is not turned on during voting. We've discussed this at length in the past, but it's still a terrible oversight.

I mean, really...pictures of naked people...that's so disturbing and offensive. I've never even seen myself naked, I turn off the lights when I get undressed and I've never seen my wife naked either...she turns off the light before she takes off her burqua.

Why in heck would it be turned on during voting? Like coming up on a "This image hidden due to content" is going to not affect a vote. lol.

That's just silly.

Not silly at all, but thanks for the insult.

Some of us are allowed to do personal stuff at work, but also don't want nudity coming up on our work machines for the whole world to see.

So it makes the most sense to let us toggle that on and off, even during voting. We're grown ups here, we know when it's appropriate and when it's not.

Ive never understood why it matters if you mark a comment as helpful or not. I did it for the first month and don't think I've bother since. What does one do with that information?

I would say 99 out of a 100 comments are helpful, so what's the point in saying so?
