I hsit you not! Last night I was thinking about what the new challenge would be and how cool it would be if it was Zen so I could try my new editing steps. And, VOILA!

I found it very interesting that there was an entry posted last night 15 minutes into the challenge...hmmm now how did they know it would be a zen challenge and how could they have gotten it processed and loaded in less than 15 minutes....hmmmmm

They shot the photo when the challenge opened, the only processing they do is crop or simple USM, and then submit. I've done it before, 25 min after the challenge. I had photoshop open, and my studio already setup with lights, I just shot it and submitted.

I guess it seems odd that someone would be all ready for a shot, given that we have no clue as to what will be announced...that's the weird part for me...15 minutes...it's just odd to me that's all...

It's probably odd for you or me, but some people just snap anything at all, whatever is next to them, and enter it. Just look at the bottom of most challenges, there's a good chance that many of those were entered quickly without any editing.

Also. some folks just enjoy being the first submission, even if they later pull it and replace it with another image... They like messing with our (collective) heads.

Isn't it rather un-zen to have a photo challenge about zen?

That's exactly what I thought.

So, will posthumous be offering up his traditional Zen challenge haiku to each contestant?

Zen will be my first challenge entry.

Gotta say: it's kinda stressing me out.

Normal ops around here. Welcome to the phunny pharm.

Entirely too much stress. All the stuff I shoot for zen-like experiences is NOT what DPC would consider Zenish...

flood filter legal in advanced editing right?

haha thanks, I was on here a year ago, but then my camera grew legs........

And it broke my car window and took my laptop, wallet, and ipod with it. While on vacation no less.

So with the new camera came the new membership to DPC.
Man it's good to be back.

ZEN 3: REVENGE OF ZEN

a technical question...

if one were to have a haiku as the entry title, what is the character limit (including spaces) for entry titles (if there is one)?

i haven't been able to find anything on the site that states this information.

good karma to anyone who can answer this ;-)
