Okay, Critique Club members - and there are a LOT lurking out there - here's your challange:
Nyaa Nyaaa, you can't catch me!

There are 60 images waiting critique before tonight's rollover, and there are a lot of people hanging around the forums checking in on what's happening. So, for old times sake, or just because, do a critique or 60 and try to catch me.

Heh, heh. The number is now 515, so hurry!

LOL - alans_world, karmat and Senay there are lots of opportunities to play catch up now, what with some 114 images in the queue just begging to be critiqued.

Let's see if all 385 members (or those of us who are still among the DPC faithful) can clear this number by Sunday's roll over.

Gracious! So much for my motivational prose.
Now there are 113 in the queue, but only 'cause I did one while I was in there.

Next? who's next?

I'll get to that in a minute, bear with me! ;)

With the DPL at full steam ahead, zeroing down the requests will surely be an impossible task for the Critique Club unless we threw out critiques like it was a McDonalds business model.
This isn't!
I don't remember one single critique that took me under 15 minutes (with about 2/3 of the time just looking at the picture). BUT (and this is my most personal experience) it' usually the least inspiring pictures that have taught me the most, because it's in these pictures that you can best figure out how it can be improved and what mistakes could have been avoided! This is usually hard work but it's rewards are priceless.

In other words this is your motivation: Self improvement! This actually might sound rather selfish but it isn't because you are ultimately sharing this knowledge and experience with every single person in the process: the artist, yourself an all the viewers.

Keep up the great work!

(edit) I inadvertedly left out another major reward: the impact your experience has on the photographer and your relations on this community. At the moment I find the Critique Club the strongest bonding tool available to this community (as a matter of fact I believe it's stronger than the DPL, but that's probably just me ;) I've had my share of great conversations with members who really appreciated having their images critiqued (me included!).

Hey I don't know if this is the right thread but I think I want to try my hand at the Critique Club. I know I have a paulty number of comments during my time here, but I feel I am overwelmed by the sheer number of entries. I would really like to help people looking for specific input on their work. Aslo the fact that I know someone is going to appreciate my commenting effort appeals to me.

If you guys want my help, I am at your service.

Cheers Five_Seat!

Check out the sticky (1st post in this forum). I followed the instructions and about 1 week later I was already helping out. ;)
