First image definitely my favourite, Although the focus seems to be on the leaf not the fly, I like the metallic green on the fly.

While we're on the topic... I'd like input from you macro-oriented folks. I don't have any macro glass yet. I've got a 18-70mm and a 70-300mm. What would be the recommendation for an entry into macros? Something that would allow for nice bug shots and flowers, but not microscope-like abstracts.
I've heard about close-focus adapters, macro lenses, bellows, and other options. Looks like everyone in this thread is a Canon user, so specific lense suggestions won't work for my Nikon, but as a general idea which way is best to go?

If you have the money, a dedicated macro lens is the way to go. I know the tamron 90mm macro (which is what I have) is available in the nikon mount. |
