Any idea, what should be the street price for a used Canon 1000 D with EFS 18 - 55mm kit lens.

Thanks

How many shutter activations? In the US one of those sells new for $500-$550. I would find $400 U.S. to be a reasonable used price as long as it's not got too much on it.

What is a 1000D? Is that like a Rebel? I wouldn't even remotely consider paying $400 for something used when for only $100 more I can have brand new. Not to mention I recently saw a used 30D for like $450 - granted it was body only, but still....

EDIT: D'oh! It's the Rebel XS. That's the exact camera we use at my job for victim photographs. You'd think I'd know that considering I'm the one who told my boss what kind of camera we should buy, and then actually went down and bought it.

But, I still wouldn't pay $400 for it used. I can buy it brand new for $500 - which gives me a year warranty. Not to mention, if I were to just buy the body, I could probably get it brand new for around $450.

Well, I would probably be looking for a better deal myself, however that seems to be the normal going rate. I see plenty of Rebel XT's and XTI's being offered on Craigslist for $500-600. Way overpriced, I think, but I still wonder if they are selling at those prices. Depends on where you are located and how motivated you are to sell it.

Do you collect airmiles?? Because I got mine with my airmiles! It took me awhile to save them, but it was worth it! They have a few different cameras you can get!

I just looked at where you live & I'm not sure you even have Airmiles there?
