Thank you so much, Don. In fact, almost the entire Team Ephemera thanks you :-)

Yeah, all of us except me :-( I've lost my knack for Posthumous Bling, I think... Though LevT didn't make it either, on second inspection, so I don't feel so lonely. And he and I led the team in scoring in that challenge. Which almost certainly proves something, right?

It's a long list, and more great ones that I neglected. this challenge was a great joy to vote on, so a thanks to all the participants. It really confirms my belief that genius is not a person but a process. The long list is sorted low score first...

Among the stunning and fabulous, here is one I would like to honour for its simple givenness and for the immense pleasure I get looking at it:

No kidding. Might be the highest average vote given challenge ever, for me; and I've voted on a ton of challenges :-)

thank you Don, it's an honor! I was pretty excited about this image myself and actually thought it should do well scorewise, but it turned out the voters did not care much for it... So I was very happy to see that you liked it.

We throw out the description "pollock-like" or "pollocky" or whatever all the time, but this is really really close to the energy and rhythm of a Pollock painting. And I do see some of the mood of El Greco as well.

Doh! I need a bigger monitor. I never see titles of portrait-oriented entries.

I can't remember if it's the same of the voting pages, but if you look at the photo page now the title shows up in the top margin/border of the browser window, above the photo itself.

Knew going in mine would not fair well and I was right, but any time I get mentioned in the Postumous galllery I am honored and the score of the image does not matter anymore. Thanks!

bear_music My comment for Bear in case you don't scroll down the couple of dozen, or so, comments: Coming from a man standing at the bedside everyday, this image is stunning. Penny's love is palpable, as is her apparent complete relief, knowing all will be well. It is a genuine expression that always brings me joy, and brings me back to the hospital when things don't go well, and all I see is desperation, fear, and uncertainty. I love moments like this in the hospital. They are easy to forget, while the ghosts never leave. Can't vote, so I thank you for the pure emotion with a simple thumb. Carry on friend.
